Meet the artist! :)
When I was a child, I always believed that I would never change my mind. I would become a doctor in the future, I would forever be single in my life, I would forever HATE the color pink and I would always hate fluffy dresses. However as I grew older, more than just my height changed. My entire ideology changed! I was introduced to different environments, different ideas, different EVERYTHING really and that morphed my view of certain concepts. I used to believe that the 20 dollars my dad gave me would be enough to buy a whole new outfit, now that same amount of money will barely give me a decent meal from Uber Eats (before tax and tip!).
In my Senior exhibit, I strive to create an array of relatable, funny artworks that showcases the evolution of people’s perspective through the use of watercolor and acrylic paintings, alcohol marker works, digital drawings, and crochet artworks. I chose to showcase how one can change over time, from a change in one’s perspective of love to the simple changes in clothing and style over time. I hope you all relate to these pieces and that they make you laugh in the same manner as they did for me while creating them.
